Cosplay is not Consent

A comic con can be exciting and tiring (because there’s so much to see/do) if you’ve never been or don’t go often. The costumes, the atmosphere, the activities,… It’s a paradise for fans of movies, series, gaming, comics, and other pop culture.

The best plan? Take your camera with you to capture all those amazing memories.

But it is important to not go overboard with this. Every cosplayer is, above all, just someone who wants to enjoy the show and be respected like a normal human being.

It is therefore very important to set some ground rules for interactions with cosplayers and other fans of Heroes Comic Con with the motto: #CosplayIsNotConsent. The goal is to have everyone enjoy the comic con in good spirit and with respect for one another.

Never take a picture with a cosplayer without asking their permission first.

Don’t touch a cosplayer without their consent.

Any form of harassment will not be tolerated. You will be escorted out.

Never forget that there is a real person underneath the costume: politeness and respect will allow you to learn more about their art!
