Artist Jill Thompson joins the 2023 Comic Village!

Jill Thompson

Heroes Comic Con is proud to welcome the great, multi-Eisner Award winner Jill Thompson, by many critics considered to be one of the most accomplished creators of the modern era of comic books.

The work of the American illustrator and writer Jill Thompson started to become familiar to readers with her brilliant contributions to the George Perez era Wonder Woman, but most of her work for DC Comics has been published by Vertigo, in books like The Sandman, drawing memorable episodes like the first time we could see The Little Endless. She’s also worked in books like The Invisibles, The Books of Magic, Fables or Black Orchid. With writer Will Pfeifer, she created the Finals miniseries, and she wrote and illustrated the OGN The Dead Boy Detectives.

Other works by Jill would be her (also awarded) work with Evan Dorkin on Beasts of Burden, The Little Endless, Deliriums Party: A Little Endless Storybook, Wonder Woman: True Amazon, a retelling of Diana of Themyscira’s origin as seen from Jill’s unique and personal perspective, and many more.

In other words: lots of reasons to pay this superstar a visit in the Comic Village of Heroes Comic Con, on Saturday, September 23rd, and Sunday, September 24th, 2023. Will you join the fun?
