British actor Warwick Davis’ list of accomplishments is impressive to say the least. It stretches from 2023’s well-received Willow series on Netflix, all the way back to 1983, with his role of Ewok Wicket in Star Wars Episode VI: Return of the Jedi.
In those 40 years, many more notable roles were entrusted to his talents. As big highlights we can surely note his portrayal of the goblin Griphook and Hogwarts professor Filius Flitwick in the Harry Potter movie series, and of Willow Ufgood in the 1988 movie Willow and the 2023 series in the same universe.
Think it can’t get more impressive than this? Think again! He shared the set with David Bowie in the 1986 movie Labyrinth, sent chills down audiences’ spines in the horror movie series Leprechaun, gave shape to Marvin in A Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy, Licksplittle in Disney’s Maleficent 2: Mistress of Evil, Nabrik in The Chronicles of Narnia, and so much more. Warwick Davis has also lent his voice to characters in Star Wars, Harry Potter, Moominvalley, and various other productions.
Davis is a founder of the Reduced Height Theatre Company, which stages theatrical productions cast exclusively with short actors and using reduced height sets.
