Torunn Grønbekk is a comic book writer and portrait painter. She’s best known for her work with Marvel, including Thor, Punisher: War Journal, Jane Foster: Valkyrie,Warhammer 40,000: Sisters of Battle, Carnage and Realm of X. She is currently writing Venom (Marvel) and Red Sonja (Dynamite).

She has also written the short story “Dissolution of Hope,” which was included in the first issue of the 2023 miniseries Star Wars: Darth Vader

She will also be writing the upcoming Catwoman for DC Comics.

She splits her time between her home in Norway and her cabin in the Swedish forest.
